As many of you know, the Florida Sheriffs Association (FSA) recently asked the public to vote for their favorite Law Enforcement specialty, motorcycle, and patrol vehicle. Our office is proud to announce that, of the vehicles submitted for selection, our patrol vehicle won the category for the 2018 Vehicle Graphics Contest.
On October 29, Deputy M. Woodward accepted the award at the FSA Executive Leadership and Fleet Exposition Conference in Orlando on behalf of the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office.
We appreciate everyone who voted in this competition! ... See MoreSee Less
On Saturday, September 8th, I will be participating in the 10th Annual Walk of Hope for ALS, an event that benefits The Angel Fund and its ALS research at the Cecil B. Day Laboratory for Neuromuscular Research at UMass Medical Center in Worcester, MA. This 3.5 Walk around Lake Quannapowitt in Wakefield will enable me to raise money (in honor of/in memory of) and others affected by ALS, an always-fatal disease often referred to as Lou Gehrig’s Disease.
I am asking you to join me in the fight against ALS by sponsoring my participation with a tax-deductible donation to The Angel Fund, an independent nonprofit charity. You can double, or even triple, this donation if your employer participates in a matching gifts/pledge program!
I am proud to accept this challenge on behalf of those who live with ALS and in memory of those who have lost their battle with ALS.
Please send your check made payable to The Angel Fund to The Angel Fund, 649 Main Street, Wakefield, MA. 01880. Please note on the check that you are sponsoring my participation (“Team Johnny”). You can also make a donation on line at www.theangelfund.org. Go to Walk-of-Hope for ALS and click on "Team Johnny"
You may also participate in the walk by registering on line at The Angel Fund for ALS Walk of Hope. If you intend to walk please let me know your T-shirt size ASAP. As of now “Johnny” is planning to attend.
